Motivation is something I struggle with a LOT.
Once in a routine I am so happy with everything I am doing within that schedule, and working towards goals.. but I dip a lot. For me, I can be quite up and down in my emotions, and sometimes can really struggle to get even the simplest of tasks completed.
Today has been one of those days, so I felt it only right, to create a blog post with all of my tips that I use to help me stay motivated and positive, to help you guys and also, as a reminder to myself :-)
I can be quite up and down with my emotions, and sometimes that means I can struggle to get the simplest of tasks done....'
1 - PREPARE
This is best for most things in life, prepare your food or snacks. Prepare your gym outfit so you have everything ready for the next day, create a to-do list for the next day, prepare, prepare, prepare.
Otherwise you can find yourself in that nevermind mindset, the tomorrow mindset, and thats never the best place to be.
2 - EXERCISE
Nomatter how you feel, get that exercise in. A great way to fit in some exercise when you are feeling deflated and unmotivated is to book a class, or if motivation levels are on an all time low, find a youtube video that you can follow at home. A yoga sequence for 10 minutes is enough to leave you feeling energised and ready to get going. I find that exercise helps you to lift that veil of deflation and get back to it.
3 - DO SOMETHING
Spend some time doing something else, if you love to draw, do some drawing, go see a friend, whatever it is that you fancy doing, just for the sake of doing it. That can leave you to come back to whatever it is you are lacking motivation for..with a clearer mind.
4 - LOG OUT
This can be so difficult these days, but forcing yourself into a no-internet no-phone zone can sometimes help you to reawaken. Maybe read a book, go for a walk, talk to others, write down goals and aspirations...
5 - REMEMBER
Remember what your goals are, what do you want to achieve? What are your dreams? Maybe those dreams have changed, or maybe you haven't even thought about what it is you want for a while. Revisiting what you want, will give you that motivational boost to do what you need to do to get there.
So create a vision board, write down your goals, and never believe your dreams are too big.
Our mindset changes everything. If we follow some of these steps to help us lift they fed up, deflated, unmotivated and downright negative veil - we can find that motivation and remember that the skies the limit.
